Jake Jauert will present “Academics in Motion” and share how his active classroom supports student learning.

Many adolescents experience some form of anxiety and depression. Come learn about common triggers that cause anxiety and depression during adolescence, as well as how to tell the difference between everyday experiences of anxiety and depression vs. clinical levels. This presentation will identify warning signs that parents and educators can watch for, give them practical tools for how to respond effectively, and offer guidance about seeking mental health treatment. Staff from Traverse Counseling and Consulting will discuss the idea of a technology addiction and whether it is real or not by discussing and using current research and the current understanding technology has on the brain. Strategies for caregivers, parents, and teachers will be provided to help children establish a safe and healthy relationship with technology. Event is free to attend but registration is encouraged.
